What an incredible journey this has been!
It wasn’t just a movie screening, it was a connection with people who poured their hearts, sweat, and sleepless nights into creating something truly beautiful.
Our family had the privilege to meet the amazing cast, crew, and production team behind the Internationally acclaimed Fiji movie Langha Phobia and also to experience their warmth, passion, and humility up close.
What’s Langha Phobia?
The movie takes us through the lives of Gopi and Shanti, a Fijian-Indian couple whose seemingly happy marriage begins to unravel.
The film beautifully captures the moment Shanti comes up with a cunning yet courageous plan to bring back sanity into her life, a turning point that transforms not only her destiny but also challenges the deeply rooted fears and expectations around her.
Through humour, heartbreak, and hope, Langha Phobia portrays identity, gender, and self-discovery with striking honesty and emotion.
Now let’s talk about the amazing transformations that blew us away. We were amazed to learn the incredible effort behind each role.
The lead actor, Adwin Awadh completely transformed himself physically and mentally, training and reshaping his physique to bring authenticity to every shade of his character.
The lead actress, Pritash Dutt transitioned beautifully from a quiet, traditional housewife to a woman who takes control of her fate; using wit, resilience, and emotional intelligence to rebuild her sanity and freedom.
Both performances are proof that real art demands real dedication.
During the COVID lockdowns, when everything felt uncertain, this team kept the dream alive filming across Fiji and Australia, overcoming endless challenges, and still delivering something world-class.
